“Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go” T.S.Eliot

Sarah is an adventurer, risk manager, speaker, sportswoman and writer.

She strives to succeed where her curiosity takes her.

Sarah had a successful career in risk management and a great life in Sydney, but had this nagging feeling that this wasn’t ‘it’, that there had to be more. She was looking for fulfilment.

It was that “desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming” described by psychologist Abraham Maslow that so many of us search for.

As Sarah says, “We all have our own incredible unique set of skills, abilities, loves and passions and when we search for fulfillment we get to explore and maximise all of this and see what we are truly capable of”.

After much soul searching and researching, it came to her - she was going to on an expedition down the Nile. Having never done anything like this, it was set to take her on an incredibly journey, before paddles even hit the water. It was her resilience, mindset and ability to not let obstacles stop her that got Sarah not just to the start, but successfully execute this expedition, facing many of her fears on the way.

In 2019 she became the first woman to lead an expedition down the Nile

“We can do so much more than we think we’re capable of. When you really want to do something, you’ll find a way, somehow”

Sarah’s stories and insights from her adventures and corporate career show how we can shift our mindset, develop resilience and succeed, even if it’s something we have never done before.

Her stories are riveting – with humour, emotion, depth and incredible resilience.
